Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Dispatcher in Elgin, IL. The role focuses on preparing production and transportation schedules, coordinating delivery activity, and ensuring loads meet customer requirements while complying with regulations.

Key duties include approving haulers, coordinating next-day deliveries, verifying inventory, negotiating prices, and supporting plant operations. The position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits including health/dental, 401(k), PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience in the field or related area required; 1 year preferred.
• Knowledge of crane truck capabilities and jobsite deliveries.
• Organized, self-starter with detail-oriented approach.
• Some mechanical experience with vehicles and trucks.
• Knowledge of local geography and roads to estimate travel times.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at supervisory level.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Approve and manage all outside haulers.
• Coordinate with loading crew for the next day deliveries.
• Verify product inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory agencies.
• Handle purchasing for plant operations and negotiate prices with vendors.
• Review the success of previous orders to determine replenishment needs and pricing.
• Other duties as assigned.
