Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to coordinate and schedule customer deliveries, managing a mix of company trucks and outside haulers to ensure on-time shipments.

You will work with the sales, shipping, and operations teams, build rapport with customers and drivers, and ensure compliance with NC/SC DOT regulations while using mapping and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school/general education degree (GED) required.
• Previous related experience in dispatch or transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of masonry and building materials helpful.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams; able to learn new computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read maps and use mapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, and other electronic means.
• Prepare a shipping schedule to track outgoing and incoming shipments.
• Coordinate with trucking fleet and outside haulers to meet delivery times and requirements.
• Communicate effectively with customers and drivers to dispatch orders promptly.
• Be familiar with the delivery area for route and travel time planning.
