Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, seeks a dispatcher to ensure private and contract drivers are dispatched to pickups promptly. You will manage multiple tasks, maintain driver and shipment information, and communicate with drivers, sales staff, and customers daily.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and a commitment to quality customer service, with opportunities to work across a broad network in North America.

Qualifications

• Transportation experience preferred and knowledge of dispatch practices.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several shipments concurrently.
• Strong communication with drivers, sales staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch private and contract drivers to pickups in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with sales, drivers and customers on shipment requirements.
• Maintain updates in Oldcastle Transportation Management system (OTM).
• Plan delivery routes and assign drivers for scheduled deliveries.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and verify paperwork and loads.
