Auto Driveaway is seeking an energetic Dispatcher in Elkhart, IN to assign drivers, plan loads and move assets nationwide. This key Operations role involves coordinating with drivers, field offices and customers to ensure on-time delivery and optimal resource utilization.

The dispatcher will manage inbound driver communications, develop efficient routes and provide status updates to stakeholders, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatch experience.
• Strong background in transportation, logistics or related fields.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• High energy, enthusiasm and drive for achieving results.
• Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Project planning and project management skills.
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Work inbound driver calls and e-mail.
• Communicate with drivers to assign available resources to loads with minimal deadhead.
• Develop logistical plans for efficient, on-time delivery and maintain contact with drivers.
• Provide regular updates to sales and customers and internal stakeholders with status, pickup and delivery timelines.
• Engage with field offices on driver utilization and logistics planning to minimize deadheads where possible.
• Collaborate with management to modify driver assignments or routes to accommodate customer needs.
• Partner with colleagues to ensure trucks are in the right place at the right time for efficient driver pickup.
• Build strong relationships with drivers and customers to grow the business and exceed customer expectations.
• Support our driver population in safety and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain regular engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure driver population reflects forecasted volume.
