Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent business experience; degree preferred
• Previous logistics dispatch/scheduling experience preferred
• Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft and logistics application software
• Ability to solve problems and work in high pressure situations, using independent judgement and discretion
• Ability to work well in teams with staff and contractors from all departments
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Excellent personal skills and positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Execute a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area
• Gather, monitor, and analyze inventories for forecasted customers
• Confirm accurate retain and runout times while maximizing payload and on-time performance
• Evaluate and adjust current and future orders based on driver capacity and customer demands
• Coordinate with Asset Specialists to update sourcing and revise daily operating plan
• Communicate effectively with Load Planners, Scheduling Team Leaders, and external customers on service issues
• Solicit new and existing customers for freight opportunities
