Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Receiving Supervisor to oversee scheduling and coordination of truck and driver activities to meet customer demands while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.

The role focuses on cost control, problem solving, and timely communication with drivers and carriers. You will supervise outbound and inbound loads, coordinate with sales and production, and ensure accurate driver logs and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a Production Manager or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise scheduling and coordination of outbound and inbound loads with trucks and drivers.
• Coordinate loading/shipping orders with S/R personnel and production.
• Set up loads with outside freight companies and ensure DOT compliance.
• Manage driver logs accuracy and maintain DOT-related documentation.
• Negotiate transportation rates and select appropriate carriers.
• Audit freight bills and handle any shortages or claims with carriers or customers.
