Job summary

You will communicate with carriers, sales, dispatch teammates, transportation, production, IT and customers, and assist with forecast accuracy, carrier evaluations and onboarding new carriers.

Responsibilities

• Build, schedule and dispatch outbound truck freight via approved and collect freight carriers.
• Build, dispatch and coordinate scheduling of outbound rail freight.
• Utilization of multiple computer programs directly and indirectly involved with truck and rail shipments.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, sales, members of dispatch team, transportation, production departments, I.T. and customers.
• Engage with railroad representatives as necessary.
• Assist with calculating month end shipment forecast and supporting additional dispatch functions.
• Assist with perspective carrier evaluations and soliciting new carriers.
