Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to support the Dispatcher/Operations Manager in directing and coordinating the ordering and delivery of materials for daily operations.

You will schedule and assign a team, ensure safety compliance, and maintain efficient warehouse and delivery processes while delivering high levels of customer service. This role requires a GED, at least 2 years dispatching experience, and strong communication; the company offers a

Qualifications

GED required, some college preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of dispatching experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate.
Ability to self-manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate ordering and delivery of materials.
Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations; enforce policies and procedures.
Schedule and assign employees; monitor work results.
Coordinate with personnel to ensure customer service standards.
Ensure compliance with Safety and Loss Control Program.
Assist with safety investigations to reduce hazards and losses.
