Job summary

Colonial Chemical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Savannah, GA to dispatch orders, manage inventories, and optimize freight within our Transportation Division.

You will work with cross-department teams and external partners to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining data accuracy and regulatory compliance. The role requires flexibility for on-call rotations and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in terminal dispatch, logistics, or a customer service role is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications is required.
• Availability to participate in on-call rotations during nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and develop creative solutions to challenges.
• Ability to work independently with direction and bring forward ideas and solutions to identified issues.
• Strong communication, planning, tracking, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and complete multiple activities and assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching orders and coordinating with customers and drivers.
• Managing inventory levels and monitoring stock availability.
• Optimizing freight and load shifts to maximize full-load efficiency.
• Processing and dispatching customer orders in a timely manner.
• Coordinating with terminal staff and external partners to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensuring DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements are met.
• Maintaining accurate data in department software and generating reports.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support customer needs.
