Job summary

Southeast Consolidators is seeking a detail-oriented team member to support freight consolidation, shipping and data entry in our busy operations in Georgia. The role focuses on accurate entry into SECO's and customers' systems, handling outbound shipment setup, and communicating with drivers and account managers.

The candidate works in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment, uses Excel and Word, and participates in day-to-day reporting and paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years experience in freight consolidation or shipping environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and typing.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, timely, effective, and accurate communication to customers, carriers, and internal team members through emails and phone calls.
• Accurately set up outbound shipment information within multiple systems for multiple customers.
• Effectively communicate with drivers arriving at the driver check-in window.
• Coordinate the placement of inbound shipments with the Account Managers and Dock Supervisors.
• Perform yard and dock walks to properly and accurately account for all trailers on site.
• Maintain reports and spreadsheets throughout the day and submit them internally and to the customers, if required.
• Report any findings and general notes on daily processes to their manager/supervisor.
• Report any malfunctioning equipment or programs to their manager/supervisor.
• Ability to speak, read and interpret documents, routine reports and correspondence printed in English such as policies and procedures, freight bills, bills of lading, and printouts, invoices, and work orders.
