Job summary

CFS BRANDS is seeking an Import Logistics Coordinator for our on-site Savannah, GA operations. The role focuses on managing all facets of the import process, from documentation to customs compliance, in collaboration with suppliers, carriers, and customs authorities.

The candidate will handle HTS classification, freight negotiations, and reporting while ensuring timely delivery to distribution centers nationwide. A strong emphasis on organization and cross-team communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with U.S. Customs compliance regulations and HTS classification preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with overseas offices, vendors, and shippers to manage import documentation and related matters, ensuring shipments reach distribution centers.
• Negotiate freight costs to achieve best pricing and drive cost savings.
• Follow SOPs and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Stay informed about government and customs regulations, tariffs, and import compliance requirements.
• Organize, validate, and upload shipping documents into NetSuite (Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, etc.).
• Verify correct duty rates and HTS code applications for customs entries.
• Generate shipping reports to track inbound freight data.
• Coordinate with customs brokers and forwarders for ISF, clearance, and freight release.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
