PositionSummary

TheLogistics&DeliverySpecialistplaysacriticalroleinsupportingwarehouseoperationsandfieldproductivityatExcelServices.Thispositionisresponsibleforthesafeandaccuratehandling,organization,transportation,pickup,anddeliveryoftools,materials,andequipmentbetweenourwarehouse,vendors,andconstructionjobsites.Therightcandidatewillunderstandthatanaccurateandon-timedeliverycandirectlyaffectaconstructioncrew'sproductivityandaproject'sschedule.Thisisahands-onpositionrequiringdriving,loadingandunloadingmaterials,toolandinventoryhandling,communicationwithfieldpersonnel,andgeneralwarehousesupport.

KeyResponsibilities

Transportation&Delivery-Approximately75%

• Safelytransporttools,materials,andequipmenttoandfromconstructionjobsites.
• Completescheduleddeliveriesandpickupsaccuratelyandontime.
• Coordinatejob-sitepickups,returns,andmaterialmovementsaccordingtocompanyprocedures.
• Communicateprofessionallywithwarehousestaff,Superintendents,Foremen,andfieldpersonnelregardingdeliveriesandpickups.
• Verifymaterialsandequipmentbeforeleavingthewarehouseandupondelivery.
• Supportfieldproductivitybyensuringcrewsreceivethecorrecttoolsandmaterialswhenneeded.
• Maintaincompanyvehiclesinaclean,safe,andprofessionalcondition.
• Immediatelyreportvehicle,delivery,material,orsafetyconcerns.

WarehouseOperations-Approximately15%

• Receivereturnedtools,materials,andequipment.
• Scantoolsandequipmentinandoutusingthecompany'sinventorymanagementsystem.
• Inspectreturnedtoolsandequipmentforvisibledamageoroperatingconcerns.
• Organizeandstoretoolsandmaterialsintheirdesignatedlocations.
• Stagetools,materials,andequipmentforupcomingjob-sitedeliveries.
• Helpmaintainanorganized,clean,andsafewarehouse.
• Assistwithinventorycountsandequipmentaccountabilityasneeded.

Loading,Securement&EquipmentHandling-Approximately5%

• Safelyloadandunloadtools,equipment,andconstructionmaterials.
• Properlysecureloadsbeforetransportation.
• Useappropriatematerial-handlingandload-securementpractices.
• Operateforkliftsandotherapprovedmaterial-handlingequipmentwhentrainedandauthorized.
• Followcompanysafetyprocedurestohelppreventinjuries,equipmentdamage,andmaterialloss.

Administrative&OperationalSupport-Approximately5%

• Maintainaccuratedeliveryandpickupdocumentation.
• Assistwithdeliverytrackingandinventoryaccountability.
• Supportvendorpickupsandcoordinationasassigned.
• Assistwithspecialwarehouseandlogisticsprojects.
• Performadditionaldutiesasneededtosupportwarehouse,field,andoperationalrequirements.

Qualifications

Theidealcandidatewillhave:

• Previousdelivery,warehouse,logistics,construction,ormaterial-handlingexperience.
• Familiaritywithconstructionmaterials,equipment,andsmalltoolsusedinelectrical,mechanical,HVAC,orplumbingconstructionpreferred.

Compensation

$22.00–$27.00perhour,basedonexperience,qualifications,andapplicablelicenses/certifications.
