Job summary

You will develop and maintain relationships, book freight, track pre-booked freight, solicit additional business, and collaborate with sales, fleet managers and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate service.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Transportation/Logistics.
• Proficient keyboarding and 10-key.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Strong customer solicitation skills for freight.
• Excellent interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress.
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
• Review incoming trucks to book freight and meet productivity goals.
• Maintain assigned territory of customers.
• Log pre-booked freight not immediately assigned.
• Contact customers to solicit additional freight.
• Research and resolve customer inquiries and problems.
• Communicate with customers, sales, fleet managers, and internal staff.
• Participate in total quality management and process-improvement teams.
• Use web-based tools to gather and track operation data.
• Enter customer data and shipping instructions into a database.
