Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking an RTM & NA Inbound Network Design and Cost Analyst to drive cost and efficiency across the Transportation Network. This role requires applying MP&L and supply chain knowledge to optimize freight, publish supplier instructions, and manage cost reductions with data-driven insights.

You will collaborate with plant managers, carriers, and the LLP to ensure on-time delivery, review tonnage and demurrage metrics, and contribute to ongoing efficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong CMMS3 knowledge.
• Rail / Intermodal Carrier Operations Experience.
• Experience with CMMS3 Data/Datamart/Alteryx or other Data Analytical Tools.
• Strong understanding of MP&L (CMMS, Data Warehouse) and Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) systems.
• Travel may be required to plants and provider sites; weekend work may be required on occasion.
• Strong supply chain and plant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement freight efficiencies to meet plant targets.
• Develop logistics commodity strategies with Transportation Purchasing.
• Create equipment & routing specs for RFQs with Transportation Purchasing.
• Publish supplier shipping instructions and manage daily changes.
• Support TPO in responding to changes to minimize cost.
• Identify cost savings through sourcing and density changes.
• Audit and resolve logistics provider billing discrepancies.
