Job summary

Old World Industries is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound materials for production and customer delivery, acting as a link between production, customer service, warehouses, carriers, and customers.

The role supports inventory accuracy, transportation troubleshooting, documentation compliance, and plant administration to keep daily operations efficient and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 2+ years in logistics, transportation, shipping, customer service, or supply chain operations preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• SAP or ERP system experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work across multiple departments.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments preferred.
• APICS certification or related supply chain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer orders, production schedules, and inventory to coordinate outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers, customer service, production, and shipping personnel to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Monitor shipment status and proactively communicate delays or service concerns.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including bills of lading, shipping labels, carrier paperwork, and customer portal uploads.
• Maintain transportation records and ensure documentation compliance.
• Assist with freight quoting, carrier selection, and transportation cost tracking.
• Support inventory and warehouse activities by coordinating product availability and shipment readiness.
• Work with internal departments to resolve order discrepancies, damaged shipments, or delivery issues.
• Analyze shipping trends and identify opportunities to improve delivery performance and customer service.
• Provide administrative support to plant leadership, including reporting and coordination of special projects.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and transportation regulations.
