Job Title: Logistics Coordinator/Team Lead

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily operational activities, including warehousing, receiving, and shipping, under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor. The role involves supervising associates to meet company service and cost objectives, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Training: Mentor and train associates in distribution activities, SOPs, forklift operation, and certification.
2. Shipping/Receiving: Supervise unloading, stacking, picking, staging, and verifying shipments; research discrepancies.
3. Customer Service: Maintain professionalism, communicate with customers, and prepare activity reports.
4. Quality Control: Ensure products/orders meet quality standards, document damages/discrepancies, participate in quality meetings.
5. Safety & Housekeeping: Follow ISO standards, execute safety protocols, maintain cleanliness, comply with policies.
6. Labor Management: Lead warehouse team, assist with scheduling, productivity, and staffing levels.
7. Responsibility & Authority: Participate in meetings, address non-conformities, report issues.
8. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain MHE equipment, ensure certification, report problems.
9. Maintenance: Assist with building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
10. Other Duties: Perform clerical tasks, work evenings/weekends/overtime as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED, 1 year logistics/distribution experience, forklift operation skills, ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Certificates & Licenses: Forklift training certification.

Skills & Abilities

Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS, effective communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

2-4 years warehouse experience, proven forklift experience, current MHE certification.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Occasional handling, frequent bending, constant walking/standing, lifting 21-50 lbs, reach, squat, kneel. Warehouse environment with low to moderate noise, minimal exposure to chemicals.
