Job Title: Logistics Coordinator/Team Lead

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising daily operational activities, including warehousing, receiving, and shipping, under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor. The role involves supervising associates to meet company standards in performance, safety, and quality, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Training: Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities and SOPs, including forklift operation and certification.
2. Shipping/Receiving: Supervise unloading, stacking, and staging of shipments, verify paperwork, and research discrepancies.
3. Customer Service: Maintain professionalism in communication, prepare activity reports.
4. Quality Control: Ensure products/orders meet quality standards, report damages/discrepancies, participate in quality meetings.
5. Safety and Housekeeping: Comply with ISO, OSHA, and safety protocols; maintain a clean warehouse environment.
6. Labor Management: Direct warehouse team, assist in scheduling, and ensure quality procedures are followed.
7. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain equipment such as forklifts, report issues, and ensure certifications are up to date.
8. Other Duties: Perform clerical tasks, work evenings/weekends/overtime as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year experience in logistics/distribution
• Ability to operate MHE and work in varied warehouse temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years warehouse experience
• Forklift experience and certification

Physical and Work Environment

Requires physical activity including lifting, standing, walking, and operating equipment; work environment is typically low to moderate noise, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
