Leeco Steel is seeking a logistics professional to coordinate freight rates and oversee outbound shipments. You will collaborate with carriers to meet customer due dates and ensure accurate shipping documents.

Responsibilities include monitoring shipments, communicating delays to the sales team, and maintaining an efficient, cost-effective supply chain. Strong English skills and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a logistics-related field.
• Knowledge using computers and other common office equipment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend in English, multitask under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and negotiate freight rates to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Monitor outbound shipments to ensure orders are in transit as scheduled.
• Communicate issues, delays, or budget restraints with sales team.
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare Bills of Ladings and send finalized shipping documents to billing.
• Develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
• Enter receivers/manifests of material from steel mills via Rail or Truck.
• Manage a shipping schedule to accurately show daily shipments.
• Read and understand material certifications.
• Manage and ensure traffic flow through the warehouse.
