Job summary
Leeco Steel LLC in Ambridge, PA is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping and receiving documentation for inbound and outbound steel plate loads. You will collaborate with carriers to meet customer due dates and optimize transportation costs.
Responsibilities include coordinating freight rates, monitoring shipments, communicating issues to the sales team, reviewing orders, preparing bills of lading, and improving supply chain processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics or traffic in a warehouse.
- Strong reading/writing in English.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and negotiate freight rates with carriers.
- Monitor outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate issues or budget constraints with sales.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy.
- Prepare Bills of Lading and forward documents to billing.
- Develop processes to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Enter receivers/manifests from steel mills via Rail or Truck.
- Manage a shipping schedule showing daily shipments.
- Read and understand material certifications.
- Oversee warehouse traffic flow.
