Leeco Steel is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage shipping and receiving documentation for inbound and outbound steel plate loads. You will collaborate with transportation providers to meet customer due dates in the most cost-effective way.

The role requires experience in logistics, computer literacy, and a high school diploma or GED; you will prepare bills of lading, review shipments, and help streamline warehouse traffic to improve efficiency.

• Read, write, and comprehend in English; multitask under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and negotiate freight rates with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
• Monitor outbound shipments to ensure orders are in transit as scheduled
• Communicate issues, delays, or budget restraints with the sales team
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
• Prepare Bill of Ladings and send finalized shipping documents to billing
• Develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organized
• Enter receivers/manifests of material via Rail or Truck
• Manage a shipping schedule to accurately show sales/billing daily shipments
• Read and understand material certifications
• Manage and ensure traffic flow through the warehouse is working

To collaborate with transportation providers to ensure prompt shipments and pick-ups are made to meet customer due dates in the most accurate and cost-effective way.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Coordinate and negotiate freight rates with transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
• Monitor all outbound shipments to ensure orders are in transit as scheduled
• Communicate any issues, delays, or budget restraints with our sales team
• Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
• Prepare Bill of Ladings and send finalized shipping documents to billing

Required Skills: To qualify for consideration an applicant should possess the following skills:

Experience in a Logistics related field

Knowledge using computers and other common office equipment

High School diploma or GED

Should possess the ability to read, write, and comprehend, in English. Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Perform duties to arrange and coordinate the shipping of product to customers in accordance with planned shipping schedules and in a cost effective manner.
