Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience as a freight broker.
• Knowledge of transportation and trucking industry.
• Familiarity with warehouse processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt and reprioritize as transportation needs change.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate third-party inbound and outbound transportation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with shippers and carriers.
• Negotiate freight rates balancing cost and service.
• Coordinate timely pickups and deliveries.
• Track inbound and outbound material and maintain transportation data.
• Keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.
• Respond to transportation needs or concerns with excellent service.
• Troubleshoot freight and transportation issues as they arise.
• Work independently to identify solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Backup box truck driver as needed.
