Job summary

Barnes & Noble, Inc. in Monroe, NJ seeks a Manager, Logistics Analytics to transform transportation, warehousing, inventory, and supply chain data into actionable insights, guiding cost efficiency and network optimization.

You will partner with Transportation, Distribution, Procurement, Finance, and Operations leaders to build reporting frameworks, predictive models, and dashboards that support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in logistics analytics, supply chain analytics, transportation analysis, or business intelligence.
Experience supporting transportation, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain KPIs to measure transportation, warehousing, and supply chain performance.
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Monitor performance across freight, parcel, inventory movement, and distribution operations.
Conduct root cause analyses to identify drivers of transportation costs and variances.
Create recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for operational leaders and executive management.
Design and maintain executive dashboards and scorecards using BI tools.
Develop automated reporting solutions to reduce manual reporting.
Establish data governance standards and reporting consistency across logistics functions.
