BARNES & NOBLE, INC. is seeking a Senior FP&A professional for our Monroe, NJ distribution center to partner with DC leadership on labor, freight and unit economics. The role will analyze KPIs, build forecasts, and develop business cases to guide investments in automation and capacity.

The position is on-site three days a week with potential remote days, reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Finance. You will own financial reporting, model building, and data-driven recommendations to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Analytics, or a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in FP&A, operations finance or analytics, ideally in retail, eCommerce, logistics or distribution.
• Experience forecasting, budgeting or variance analysis including Opex and Capex.

Responsabilités

• Own weekly and monthly financial reporting for DC leadership, including dashboards in Power BI built on SQL and internal systems.
• Track KPIs such as Units per Hour (UPH), Average Hourly Rate (AHR) and Cost per Unit (CPU), explain variances and drive savings or risk actions.
• Partner with DC leaders on labor productivity including mix of full-time, part-time and overtime, and productive vs. unproductive payroll.
• Develop business cases and ROI models for automation and capital projects; support Opex/Capex planning.
• Forecast inbound/outbound units by business unit and connect to freight expense and recovery forecasts with Director, Supply Chain Finance.
