Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics analytics, supply chain analytics, transportation analysis, or business intelligence.
  • Experience supporting transportation, distribution, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain KPIs to measure transportation, warehousing, and supply chain performance.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor performance across freight, parcel, inventory movement, and distribution operations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify drivers of transportation costs and variances.
  • Create recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for operational leaders and executive management.
  • Design and maintain executive dashboards and scorecards using BI tools.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to reduce manual reporting.
  • Establish data governance standards and reporting consistency across logistics functions.

Education

The Manager, Logistics Analytics is responsible for transforming transportation, warehousing, inventory, and supply chain data into actionable business insights that drive operational performance and cost efficiency. This role serves as the analytical center of excellence for the Logistics organization, developing reporting frameworks, predictive models, and performance dashboards that support strategic decision‑making across freight, parcel, distribution, and fulfillment operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical expertise with a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. This individual will partner closely with Transportation, Distribution, Procurement, Finance, and Operations leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings, service enhancements, and network optimization.

An employee in this position can expect an annual salary between $130,000 - $155,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.

Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure transportation, warehousing, and supply chain performance.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, service failures, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Monitor performance across freight, parcel, inventory movement, and distribution operations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to identify drivers of transportation costs, service disruptions, and operational variances.
  • Create recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for operational leaders and executive management.
  • Design and maintain executive dashboards and scorecards using business intelligence tools.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions that improve visibility and reduce manual reporting efforts.
  • Establish data governance standards and reporting consistency across logistics functions.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve data quality, system integration, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of critical operational and financial metrics.
  • Support transportation and distribution network optimization initiatives through modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Evaluate carrier performance, shipping costs, warehouse productivity, and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Conduct cost-to-serve analyses to identify opportunities for improved profitability and customer service.
  • Analyze freight and parcel spending to support sourcing strategies, carrier negotiations, and budget planning.
  • Develop forecasts and predictive models to support capacity planning and operational decision‑making.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor logistics budgets, transportation spend, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Track and report savings generated through network optimization and continuous improvement projects.
  • Identify cost drivers and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
  • Collaborate with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align analytics with business priorities.
  • Present complex data and analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to logistics leadership by providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations.
  • Support organizational initiatives related to operational excellence, process improvement, and digital transformation.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting parcel, freight, or e-commerce logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of transportation network design, routing optimization, and supply chain modeling tools.
  • Certification in analytics, supply chain, or project management disciplines.
