Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Logistics Analyst to coordinate drivers, trucks, and containers, optimizing routes and ensuring timely service for customers. The role emphasizes safety, customer experience, and productivity, with duties spanning data analysis, route design, and hands-on issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, customer-facing experience, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Ability to understand and execute time-sensitive tasks.
• Experience in a customer-facing position.
• Two years in a Dispatcher or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze daily route information and implement routing changes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Respond to same-day and next-day service needs to improve route design.
• Ensure routes are closed on time by verifying data accuracy.
• Proactively resolve issues while trucks and drivers are in transit.
• Manage driver safety and security of company assets.
• Collect and analyze logistics data to improve routing accuracy.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers to monitor progress.
• Evaluate and address driver performance concerns.
• Understand route sequencing to drive efficiency.
• Schedule customers for missed pickups and service commitments.
• Develop strategies to minimize missed pickups and optimize loads.
• Create routes with maximum capacity and review loads per driver per day.
• Monitor routing activities and address issues to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Assess need for swing routes and identify opportunities and improvements.
• Analyze swing percentage trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Adapt plans throughout the day to handle unforeseen changes.
