Job summary

Twin City Fan & Blower in Brookings, SD is seeking a Logistics Analyst to oversee daily operations with 3PL partners and optimize freight processes. You will audit freight invoices, coordinate inbound/outbound transportation, and support ERP-related logistics tasks while monitoring industry updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience processing domestic and international shipping activities and resolving freight-related issues
• Industry related certifications desired
• Advanced knowledge of different shipping modes and transportation regulations
• Proactive problem solver and independent decision maker for freight expenditures
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set timelines and prioritize workload
• Proficient in standard office software programs

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations with 3PLs and logistics partners
• Streamline logistics procedures and propose process improvements
• Assist with ERP transition as it relates to Logistics functions
• Process, audit and approve freight invoices/logs from 3PLs
• Monitor industry trends and updates on freight issues (domestic/international)
• Collaborate with Customer Service on freight damage claim submissions and follow-up
• Advise Supply Chain on inbound transportation scheduling, tracking and quotes
• Lead and manage Logistics KPI reporting and analytics
• Provide tactical support to plant Shipping teams as needed
• Assist with International compliance, documentation and training
• Act in line with TCF Core Values

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations with TCF’s third-party logistics partners (3PLs).


• Streamline logistics procedures and workflow, create process improvement suggestions for the logistics department, engage with other departments as needed to minimize negative impact.


• Assist with ERP transition as it relates to Logistics functions.


• Process, audit and approve freight invoices/logs from 3PLs.


• Keep up to date on industry trends and monitor updates on domestic and international freight issues.


• Partner with Customer Service team with freight damage claim submission and required follow up/analysis.


• Advise the Supply Chain team on inbound transportation activities including scheduling, tracking and obtaining freight quotes.


• Partner with Supply Chain team on inbound transportation activities and opportunities for improvement - including scheduling, tracking and obtaining freight quotes.


• Second level (escalated) point of contact for Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, carriers and other logistics partners regarding freight issues.


• Develop and deliver new hire training and continuing education for Logistics Coordinators.


• Lead and manage Logistics KPI reporting and analytics.


• Provide tactical support to the plant Shipping teams as needed.


• Assist with International compliance, documentation, training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience processing domestic and international shipping activities and resolving freight-related issues.


• Industry related certifications desired.


• Advanced knowledge of different shipping modes (Less Than Truckload, Full Truckload, Over-Dimensional, Parcel, Containers, etc.) and associated transportation regulations.


• Proactive problem solver and independent decision maker capable of making sound financial decisions related to freight expenditures.


• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set timelines and independently prioritize workload.


• Proficient in the use of standard office software programs and equipment.

As a Logistic Analyst you will be offered pay of $54,000-$62,000 per year dependent on experience. You will also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus tied to overall performance of the organization.
