Job summary

Twin City Fan in Brookings, SD is seeking a Logistics Analyst to lead daily operations with 3PL partners, streamline workflows, and support ERP transitions within the logistics function. You will process and audit freight invoices, monitor industry trends, and collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Supply Chain to optimize inbound transport, scheduling, and freight quotes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience processing domestic and international shipping activities.
• Proactive problem solving and independent decision making are essential.
• Proficiency with standard office software programs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations with 3PLs and manage freight processes.
• Streamline logistics procedures and propose process improvements.
• Assist with ERP transition related to Logistics functions.
• Process, audit and approve freight invoices/logs from 3PLs.
• Monitor industry trends and domestic/international freight issues.
• Collaborate with Customer Service on freight damage claims and follow-up.
• Advise on inbound transportation activities including scheduling and quotes.
• Provide training for Logistics Coordinators and lead KPI reporting.
• Support plant Shipping teams and assist with international compliance.

• Lead the daily operations with TCF’s third-party logistics partners (3PLs).
• Streamline logistics procedures and workflow, create process improvement suggestions for the logistics department, engage with other departments as needed to minimize negative impact.
• Assist with ERP transition as it relates to Logistics functions.
• Process, audit and approve freight invoices/logs from 3PLs.
• Keep up to date on industry trends and monitor updates on domestic and international freight issues.
• Partner with Customer Service team with freight damage claim submission and required follow up/analysis.
• Advise the Supply Chain team on inbound transportation activities including scheduling, tracking and obtaining freight quotes.
• Partner with Supply Chain team on inbound transportation activities and opportunities for improvement - including scheduling, tracking and obtaining freight quotes.
• Second level (escalated) point of contact for Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Purchasing, carriers and other logistics partners regarding freight issues.
• Develop and deliver new hire training and continuing education for Logistics Coordinators.
• Lead and manage Logistics KPI reporting and analytics.
• Provide tactical support to the plant Shipping teams as needed.
• Assist with International compliance, documentation, training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management desired or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience processing domestic and international shipping activities and resolving freight-related issues.
• Advanced knowledge of different shipping modes (Less Than Truckload, Full Truckload, Over-Dimensional, Parcel, Containers, etc.) and associated transportation regulations.
• Proactive problem solver and independent decision maker capable of making sound financial decisions related to freight expenditures.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set timelines and independently prioritize workload.
• Proficient in the use of standard office software programs and equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

• Ability to work extended hours sitting at a computer.

As a Logistic Analyst you will be offered pay of $54,000-$62,000 per year dependent on experience. You will also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus tied to overall performance of the organization.
