Job summary

Givens Incorporated in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a dependable Logistics Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate shipments, process orders, and maintain accurate records while working closely with customers, warehouse personnel, and transportation providers.

We value organization, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office. Prior logistics or import/export experience is encouraged.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of administrative, clerical, customer service, or account support experience.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or supply chain operations preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Experience with shipping documents, inventory records, or order processing a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily communication with assigned customer accounts by phone and email.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with warehouse teams, carriers, and customers.
• Enter and process customer orders, shipping information, and related documentation.
• Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, receiving reports, and other shipping paperwork.
• Track shipments and follow up on delivery updates, discrepancies, and documentation issues.
• Maintain accurate customer, inventory, shipping, and billing records.
• Assist with import/export documentation and communication with port authorities when needed.
• Prepare customer invoices, daily activity reports, and supporting paperwork.
• Work with warehouse personnel to address inventory questions, cycle counts, and shipment discrepancies.
• Respond to customer requests and resolve issues in a timely, professional manner.
• Learn and use the company's warehouse management system.
• Assist with additional administrative and account-related tasks as needed.
