Job summary

Socket.dev in Chicago is seeking a driven B2B sales professional. In this role you’ll acquire new customers through cold calling, emailing, and quoting shipments, and collaborate with a Carrier Account Representative to service clients’ transportation needs.

You’ll thrive in a high-volume environment, own your results, and have a clear pathway for internal promotion. Paid training is provided, with a competitive base salary and uncapped commission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience (logistics or similar preferred).
• On-site role; starts at 7:00 AM in Chicago.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Strong time-management and quota-attainment history.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients.
• Inquire into and verify customer needs, then present tailored solutions.
• Coordinate with a Carrier Account Representative to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Meet or exceed sales and revenue targets by executing effective sales strategies.
• Make 100+ outbound calls daily to find, close, and build relationships with shippers; negotiate terms and coordinate daily shipments.
