Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a logistics coordinator to support import operations and global logistics. You will coordinate ocean, air, and trucking freight with carriers and 3PLs, while managing fulfillment activities and SOP compliance.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success. The role requires 1+ years in freight forwarding or logistics, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean, air and trucking freight with carriers, 3rd party logistics providers.
• Manage and support fulfillment & distribution activities.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure operational SOP compliance.
• Build relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams; help resolve freight issues.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and support process improvements.
• Continuously evaluate logistics processes to improve efficiency and support growth.

Job description

• Strong background in import operations, global logistics, and Customs Compliance.
• Coordinate ocean, air and trucking freight with carriers, 3rd party logistics providers
• Manage and support fulfillment & distribution activities
• SOP/Work Instructions maintenance and ensuring operational best practice in line with customer requirements as well as ensure operational SOP compliance
• Builds relationships with carriers, vendors, & internal team members, and helps resolve any freight problems that may arise.
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends and support continuous process improvements.
• Constantly evaluates logistics processes to improve operational efficiency and support long-term business growth

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 1+ years of work experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry (Ocean import) is preferred
• Candidate with strong analytical skills and the ability to learn logistics operations quickly are encouraged
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Great interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate openly and effectively
• Works well under pressure and has a sense of urgency
• Strong work ethic
• Outlook, Microsoft Office application such as Excel/Power point/Word
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Ability to travel up to 10 %
