Job summary

CN is hiring a Supervisor, Mechanical – Locomotive to oversee daily 24/7 operations, ensuring safe inspection, maintenance and repair of locomotives. You will lead a union workforce and coordinate tasks to meet reliability targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Technician/Technologist diploma an asset; extensive experience also considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety orientation and implement SOPs.
• Lead union and non-union staff to maintain 24/7 locomotive operations.
• Plan workload to meet maintenance targets and optimize uptime.
• Make decisions on locomotive repairs and wellness of fleet.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and route optimization with operations.
