Job summary

Canadian National Railway Company is seeking a Supervisor, Mechanical – Locomotive to oversee day-to-day terminal operations through unionized staff, ensuring safe inspection, maintenance and repair of locomotives. You will coordinate routing and assembly/disassembly, while driving reliability and meeting dwell targets.

The role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Technician/Technologist diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train employees on safe and productive work procedures.
• Oversee locomotive inspection, maintenance, and repair.
• Coordinate routing, assembling, and disassembling of locomotives for trains.
• Lead day-to-day 24/7 operations ensuring availability and reliability.
• Monitor PMRC targets and ensure safety compliance.
