Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in the United States seeks a detail-oriented Transactions Specialist I in Receivables Operations – Lockbox. You will extract mail, scan documents, and create transactions to support timely client payments in a production-driven team.

This role requires compliance with procedures, high accuracy, and the potential for a government security clearance. Regular weekend/shift hours and a 10% shift differential are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in a high-volume production environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a time-sensitive production setting with shifting priorities.
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare work by opening envelopes, removing contents, and organizing items for processing.
• Scan documents in the required order and orientation, ensuring all items are captured correctly.
• Classify documents and correct misclassifications using system tools.
• Validate check items for negotiability and identification per guidance.
• Handle multi-check and no-check transactions by matching items and scanning in sequence.
• Ensure image quality and review scans; complete tray and run details when applicable.
• Close and band bundles, maintain scanned order, and escalate exceptions per procedure.
• Work across production areas to support team goals.
