Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Transactions Specialist I Mail Extractor to support Receivables Operations. You will extract mail, scan documents, and create transactions while meeting daily production and accuracy targets.

The role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work in a time-sensitive setting. A government security clearance may be required, with occasional long hours and shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Open envelopes and prepare work by removing contents and organizing items for processing.
• Scan documents in required order using OPEX equipment and ensure accurate capture.
• Classify documents (check, check stub, coupon, material, envelopes) and correct misclassifications.
• Validate negotiability of checks and follow guidance for special items.
• Handle multi-check and mixed items by matching and sequencing scans.
• Ensure image quality, re-run items if needed, and clean equipment as required.
• Provide complete tray/run details (date/time, tray number, mail type, courier tracking).
• Close and band bundles to size, maintaining scanned order.
• Escalate exceptions (cash, foreign items, unimageable items) per procedure.
