Job summary

JPMorganChase's Receivables Operations – Lockbox Operations is seeking a detail-oriented Transactions Specialist I Mail Extractor to support the accurate and timely processing of client payments in a high-volume production setting.

You will extract mail, scan documents, classify items, validate negotiability, and maintain image quality while following established procedures. Some roles may require non-traditional hours and security clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in high-volume production environments.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work in time-sensitive settings with shifting priorities.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare work by opening envelopes and organizing items for processing.
• Scan documents in required order and orientation, capturing items correctly.
• Classify documents (check, stub, coupon, etc.) and correct misclassifications.
• Validate check items for negotiability and identification following guidance.
• Handle multi-check and no-check items, ensuring correct sequence.
• Maintain image quality and re-scan when needed; clean equipment as required.
• Record tray and run details (mail date/time, tray number, mail type, courier tracking).
• Escalate exceptions to the designated associate per procedure.
• Collaborate across production areas to meet team goals.
