Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York is seeking a Transactions Specialist I Mail Extractor to support the Receivables Operations – Lockbox Operations. You will extract mail, scan documents, and create transactions in a high-volume environment, following controlled procedures to ensure accuracy.

You will classify and validate items, manage exceptions, and maintain image quality while meeting daily production and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in a high-volume production environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a time-sensitive production environment with shifting priorities.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
• Physical requirements include sitting most of the time and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Extract and prepare work by opening envelopes, removing contents, and organizing items for processing.
• Scan documents on OPEX equipment in the required order and orientation.
• Classify documents accurately and correct misclassifications using system tools.
• Validate check items for negotiability and identification per guidance.
• Handle multi-check and no-check transactions by matching items and scanning in sequence.
• Ensure image quality by reviewing scanned images and re-running items when needed.
