Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the day shift lockbox processing team (mail extraction, check processing, image capture, data entry).
• Monitor volumes and quality metrics to ensure SLAs are met.
• Coordinate staffing, workflow, and daily volume balancing.
• Partner with internal IT and external vendors to maintain lockbox equipment.
• Lead a customer service team handling internal/external inquiries, exception resolution, and payment research.
• Hire, train, and coach team members; conduct regular performance reviews.
• Identify cross-training opportunities and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to banking regulations, audits, and risk management policies.
• Maintain controls over check handling and sensitive customer data; support audits.
• Identify operational risks or gaps and escalate as needed; prepare leadership reports.
