Job summary

TALENT Software Services in South San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Translation Projects Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations of translation initiatives. You will work closely with the Localization Manager, coordinate with translation vendors, prepare materials for translation, and keep projects on schedule.

You will track KPIs, manage timelines for multiple complex projects, ensure regulatory review readiness, and develop linguistic assets with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years managing translation projects in a professional setting.
• Experience coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Familiarity with translation memories, glossaries/termbases, and style guides.
• Experience with linguistic review processes and communicating revisions to vendors.
• Familiarity with translation management systems (TMS).

Responsibilities

• Receive and process translation requests from internal content owners.
• Prepare source and reference materials for translation following a standardized process.
• Coordinate questions from linguists and the translation team with content owners.
• Interact with internal linguistic reviewers to gather feedback on translations.
• Create and maintain translation project schedules and allocate resources.
• Update stakeholders on status and potential delays.
• Coordinate submission of translated materials for regulatory review and approval.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate translations and development of glossaries.
• Evaluate translation processes and recommend improvements.
• Track performance metrics such as turnaround time and quality.
