Job summary

eTeam in South San Francisco, CA seeks a Translation Programs Coordinator to streamline day-to-day translation projects. You will work with the Localization Manager, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely delivery of Marketing and creative content.

You will prepare files for translation, manage communications between linguists, content owners, and reviewers, and help track performance metrics to drive process improvements. Cross-functional collaboration is key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications or equivalent.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience managing translation projects in a professional setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Familiarity with translation quality management using TMS, glossaries/termbases, and style guides for consistency.
• Experience in linguistic review processes and communicating revisions to vendors.
• Familiarity with translation management systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of industry-standard file formats and localization best practices across content types.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process translation requests from internal content owners.
• Prepare source and reference materials for translation following a standardized process.
• Manage questions from linguists and translation team, bridging to content owners.
• Interact with internal linguistic reviewers to gather feedback on translations.
• Create and maintain translation project schedules and allocate resources for multiple projects.
• Update stakeholders on status and potential delays.
• Coordinate submission of translated materials for regulatory review and approval.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate translations and culturally appropriate content.
• Develop and improve linguistic assets (glossaries and style guides).
• Maintain documentation related to translation projects and decisions.
• Evaluate translation processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.
• Assist with tracking and reporting KPIs like turnaround time and vendor performance.
