Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience as a dubbing director, translator/adaptor, or musical director preferred.
• Fluent in English.
• Familiarity with Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm characters preferred.
• ProTools proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Creative approvals including casting, dialogue variation, and final vocals in line with worldwide and local recommendations.
• Creative supervision – remote and in the studio – including recording and mixing.
• Choosing creative teams (freelance directors and writers/adaptors).
• Briefing the creative team on overall direction – casting and model.
• Supervising translation/variation approvals to maintain quality for subtitling and access services.
• Translation/variation of dialogues and lyrics as needed.
• Participation in and assistance with supplying localization solutions, e.g., narrative inserts.
• Ensuring each localization meets Disney's language compliance requirements.
• Ensuring all localized content complies with the company’s diversity, fairness, and inclusion regulations and is handled with sensitivity.
• Creative approvals for individual names and term usage (CAT).
