Job summary

Deluxe is seeking an exceptional subtitling leader to shape the future of theatrical localization. This hands-on, executive role oversees the global translation, subtitle creation, quality control, and distribution for cinema releases worldwide.

The VP, Theatrical Subtitling will drive strategy, manage budgets, and supervise large international teams while championing innovative tools and practices to enhance quality and speed. Based in the Hollywood area with global scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' senior leadership experience in subtitling or media localization.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with big-picture focus.
• Experience supervising large multi-regional projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Set global operations strategy and manage localization budgets.
• Oversee DCP creation and timed-text workflows for cinema releases.
• Partner with directors, executives, and distribution to protect creative intent.
• Lead teams across London, LA, Seoul, and Tokyo on localization projects.
• Explore AI tech for subtitling, scripting, accessibility, and compliance.
