Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking qualified CDL Class A drivers in Toledo, OH. You will operate tractor-trailers, follow FMCSA rules, perform pre-trip inspections, and load/unload freight as required.

The role requires HazMat and Tanker endorsements, a clean MVR, and the ability to work independently or in a team while meeting deadlines. Applicants must be at least 21, pass medical and road tests, and reside within 75 miles of the service center.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Must pass FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• Must pass a FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift approximately 70 lbs. and operate a forklift if needed.
• Must meet FMCSA English requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions and drive in various terrains and conditions.
• Safely transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and company policies.
• Maintain required records and comply with safety regulations.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and comply with regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Verify paperwork and unit numbers and report discrepancies.
• Utilize in-cab technology and adjust schedules as needed.
• Provide professional service to customers and assist with dock work when required.
• Attend and adapt to varying schedules and work environments as needed.
