Job summary

Estes Express Lines seeks an experienced CDL-A tractor/trailer driver to transport freight while meeting FMCSA regulations. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, secure loads, and operate in various terrains, including challenging routes.

A strong safety record and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential. You must be 21+, possess HazMat/Tanker endorsements, pass medical/road tests, and reside within 75 miles of the service center.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be 21 years of age or older with FMCSA-regulated experience.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• FMCSA Drug Clearinghouse registration and legal compliance.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must meet English language requirements for FMCSA.
• Ability to operate forklift (7500 lb) and heavy pallet handling.
• Physical capability to lift ~70 lbs and perform manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor/trailer and comply with FMCSA regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Load/unload freight at customer sites or docks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and logs; ensure cargo securement.
• Provide courteous service to customers and adhere to safety policies.
• May drive different schedules or work at dock based on business needs.
• Respond to inquiries and work both independently and in teams.
