Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 21 years or older and valid Class A CDL with hazmat & double/triple endorsements.
• One year of driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check and ACT road test.
• Flexible hours and ability to be certified as a forklift operator.
• Familiar with DOT regulations and safe work procedures.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock.
• Record shipment details using bills of lading and receipts.
• Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook and unhook trailers, raise/lower landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
