Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation, Inc. is seeking a full-time Pick-up and Delivery Driver to safely operate commercial motor vehicles and deliver freight on time.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and double/triple endorsements, at least one year of driving experience, and the ability to obtain forklift certification. Qualifications

• Must have Class A Interstate Commercial Drivers' License with hazardous materials and double/triple endorsements.
• One year of driving experience required.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Satisfactory background check and ACT road test.
• Read, write, speak and understand English well.
• Flexibility in hours and ability to be certified as a forklift operator.
• Familiarity with proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
• Perform duties in accordance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, with/without equipment.
• Record shipments using bills of lading and delivery receipts.
• Maintain records for state and federal regulations compliance.
• Develop and maintain professional relations with customers.
• Hook/unhook trailers and operate landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating condition.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
