Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a CDL-A truck driver in Vermont to safely transport freight under FMCSA rules. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain accurate records, and ensure cargo security while meeting delivery schedules.

The role may include dock work and loading/unloading as needed, with emphasis on safety, compliance and professional customer service. Candidates must pass inspections and drug tests as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 21+ years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration.
• Residency within 75 miles of the service center/work assignment.
• Ability to operate tractor trailers per FMCSA and safety rules.
• Physical ability to perform lifting, pushing and driving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer per FMCSA regulations and company policy.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure safety of equipment.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the public.
• Assist with dock loading/unloading as required by business needs.
• Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Report maintenance and safety issues promptly to supervision.
• Possess ability to read and interpret safety manuals and procedures.
