Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a driver to safely operate a tractor/trailer delivering freight in compliance with Company, FMCSA, and state/local laws. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and ensure security of equipment and cargo.

Dock duties may be required, along with loading/unloading freight as needed. Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL, meet FMCSA English requirements, and pass medical and road tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• 21 years of age required per FMCSA regulations (1 year driving experience required).
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment.
• Must be able to drive a tractor trailer and meet FMCSA requirements.
• Must pass a FMCSA medical exam and a road test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer safely in accordance with Company, FMCSA and local regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Handle dock duties including loading/unloading freight as required.
• Provide professional service to customers and the public.
• Maintain accurate logs and records per regulations.
