Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines seeks an experienced driver to operate tractor-trailers safely under FMCSA and company rules, transporting freight across assigned routes. You will perform inspections, manage logs, and ensure cargo security.

The role requires a Class A CDL, compliance with drug/alcohol regulations, and ability to work in various terrains and weather conditions. Dock duties and customer service are integral to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 21 years of age per FMCSA (1 year driving experience)
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment
• Must be able to drive a tractor trailer per FMCSA requirements
• Stable employment history preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift (7500 lb)
• Must lift approx. 70 lbs.
• Able to drive in all terrains and environmental conditions
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
• Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe vehicle condition
• Maintain logs and comply with FMCSA regulations
• Report maintenance needs to Fleet Services or supervision
• Provide loading/unloading dock support when needed
• Deliver professional customer service to clients and the public
