Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a professional CDL driver to operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety standards. You will perform pre-trip inspections, manage hazardous materials as required, and ensure secure cargo while maintaining accurate records and logs.

The role may involve dock loading/unloading, working with in-cab technology, and adapting to varying schedules to meet business needs. A valid Class A CDL and HazMat/Doubles endorsements are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• 21+ years old per FMCSA; 1 year driving experience
• Valid Class A CDL
• Registered with FMCSA Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Reside within 75 miles of Service Center/work assignment
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements
• Stable employment history preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift (7500 lb)
• Able to lift ~70 lbs.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test
• Meet FMCSA English speak/read requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight per FMCSA regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; ensure safety of equipment and cargo
• Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Follow safety rules for hazardous materials transportation
• Record and report maintenance issues to Fleet Services
• Complete required documentation and ensure proper unit/paperwork matching
• Possibly operate in-cab technology and adjust schedules to business needs
• Assist with loading/unloading at dock as required
• Maintain professional and courteous service to customers and the public
• Attend and participate in safety and compliance programs
