Job summary

First Chair Destinations is seeking an Operations Manager in Stratton, VT to lead a team across a portfolio of vacation properties. You will coach staff, ensure smooth daily operations, and maintain guest and homeowner satisfaction.

You will coordinate scheduling, assist with onboarding of new units, and drive efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards. Some travel and after-hours coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry preferred.
• 1–2 years in operational support roles; housekeeping and maintenance preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Technical computer skills on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets and mobile devices.
• Frequent travel between worksites; reliable personal transportation essential.
• Dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong communication and ability to represent the company positively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of employees through coaching, mentoring and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily operations and workflow of properties to optimize productivity and meet objectives.
• Provide cross-coverage for team and management when needed.
• Conduct regular inspections prior to guest and owner arrivals.
• Support team with escalated guest and homeowner concerns via emails, calls and tickets.
• Build relationships with property owners and ensure properties are clean and well maintained.
• Meet company standards and metrics such as NPS and unit appearance.
• Assist budgeting and cost analysis for portfolio expenses.
• Coordinate with Onboarding team when new units join the portfolio.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as needed (bulbs, hinges, unclog toilets).
• Foster collaboration and address conflicts constructively.
